BORIS2 - Workshop on Multi-Risk Assessment in Cross-Border Areas in Trieste

A two-day stakeholder workshop on “Multiple Risk Assessment in Cross-Border Areas” organized by the Italian National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics within the scope of BORIS2 project was held in Trieste.
In the workshop, which was attended by our Civil Engineering Department head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rıza Secer Orkun Keskin and stakeholders as well as experts on the subject, the current status and progress of the BORIS2 project was evaluated after presentations on the IN4SAFETY project focusing on joint emergency action plans, the perspective of regional civil protection organizations, especially regarding seismic risks, common challenges that municipalities often face when responding to earthquakes, and possible solutions for first responders who deal with many unknowns in disasters.
